Many years ago there was a couple who (unfortunately for them) didn’t do what was in the best interest of their children. After having chances to step up and do right by the children, the state came in and basically said ENOUGH!
To hear the couple tell it (21 years later when we met); it was not like that…blah blah blah! However the court documents say something completely different and well, the children choose to believe the trail of hearings and CPS involvement rather than the couple who just couldn’t stop making bad choices. Of course drugs and alcohol will do that to you- you know, distort your memory and make you forget what really happened so I don’t guess that they are completely to blame for their different story as to what really happened. Oh who am I kidding, yes they are!
So carrying on, the state placed us several times- I don’t really remember this as I was not even 4 yet. When I think back on this now, as I write it, I get sad. What child is placed multiple times before they are even 4 years old? I suppose it happens often, heartbreaking really!
When the “bios” finally messed up enough and didn’t show for court etc., the courts placed us with a private agency. This is where the real story begins…
